NEXT MEETING TOPIC: How To Reverse Engineer Your 2018 Goals Into A Rock Solid Action Plan

Each year, too many people set goals only to fail due in large part to two very common mistakes.

You may not know this, but less than 25% of people actual take time to set goals each year.  What’s even more troubling, is that nearly 75% of those people that do set goals fail to write them down.

Failing to formally document your goals is the first major mistake people fall prey to, because it creates a lack of commitment to achieving your goals from the very beginning.

Secondly, another very common issue that derails so many people’s goals is not being able to (usually because they don’t know how to, not because they don’t want to) develop an action plan that drives the actual results needed to ultimately hit their goals.

At the January INREIA meeting, we’ll be presenting a detailed training to give you the “real world” tools needed to avoid the two aforementioned traps.  The information we have prepared for you will set you up to reach your goals and make 2018 your best year ever!

Specifically, we’ll be covering:
·       How to set appropriate goals for you & your business
·       How your goals should fit into your larger life Vision
·       How to develop a legit plan to achieve your goals
·       How to cut through distraction & focus on what matters
·       How to define daily activities that will lead to results
·       How to properly use weekly meetings to drive success

If you have any questions whatsoever feel free to reach out!

Big Changes to the Marion County Small Claims Courts in 2015

By Drew Strobel, Esq., GRIFFITH LAW GROUP LLC

  1. Small Claims Courts becoming “courts of record” in 2018.

Beginning July 1, 2018, the Marion County Small Claims Courts will become courts of record. A court of record is a trial court in which a court reporter or clerk takes down a record of proceedings. In the past, the Marion County Small Claims Courts have not been courts of record. Thus, when a party appealed a judgment or requested a jury trial in Small Claims Court, the case was transferred to a circuit or superior court (which are courts of record) and tried de novo (starting new). Once the new change goes into effect, appeals will now be taken to the Indiana Court of Appeals in the same manner as a judgment from a circuit or superior court. Appellate procedure is complex and will cause challenges for many pro se litigants.
